McCorkindale
Orphanage for HIV positive and abandoned children is
in Manzini, Swaziland.
The orphanage is over 35
years old and was started by two sisters of Scottish
origin who devoted their entire lives to this orphanage.
Both sisters are now deceased.
The farm was inherited by
Mrs Sheila Ruth Pourie (born MacCorkindale) in 1985.
In
1996 she donated it to a trust call the MacCorkindale
Trust for the benefit of the orphans in Swaziland.
The
Trust was registered under the Notarial Deed of Trust
No. 3 1997 dated January 1997.
